CORONA VIRUS GUIDELINES
Thank you for booking your holiday with us. We know that for many of you a break away after the last few months is much needed. With this in mind, we want to do all we can to make your holiday as relaxed and stress-free as possible. As your hosts, we also need to adhere to guidelines regarding cleaning, social distancing and preventing the spread of Covid-19.
We have therefore put together this information for you to read prior to your holiday, to ensure we all work together to minimise the spread of infection, and help to protect each other, and our beloved county of Cornwall. This information will also be in your property on arrival.
Please read this document carefully and make every effort to adhere to the guidelines during your stay. I have highlighted in yellow the areas where guests will need to take action.
CHECK IN
All communication between hosts & guests can be done through Air B&B or by text message. Guests may be met & welcomed by hosts where possible outside at a distance of 2 metres. The keys to your property will be in the door. Hosts will not enter the property when guests are staying unless absolutely necessary. Any issues needing a maintenance visit will occur where guests are out of the property if possible.
CLEANING OF THE PROPERTY AND CHANGEOVERS
A detailed cleaning plan has been created in line with government guidelines, and this will be adhered to and signed for each changeover. A copy of this is available for guests, should they wish to see it.
Anti-Bacterial cleaning products will be used on all surfaces, including light switches, taps, door handles and any other areas that guests may touch, including guest information folder. Please do not take pages out of this folder to look at. There is also information about your property and the surrounding area on our website, www.landrendscornishholidays.co.uk
Floors, windows and walls at hand height will be disinfected. Anti-bacterial spray will be used on sofas and carpets.
Anti-bacterial spray will be provided for guests to use during their stay, should they wish. If you wish to use gloves or a face mask during your stay, you will need to provide these yourself.
Hand sanitiser will be provided in each property for the use of cleaning staff and guests. All persons entering the property must use hand sanitiser.
Hand wash will be provided in each property.
PLEASE NOTE items such as books, DVD’s, salt & pepper, condiments, tin foil, clingfilm & hairdryers will be removed from the property to minimize spread of infection. Throws, blankets and scatter cushions may also be removed. Please make a note of this, and bring these items with you, should you need them.
HOT TUB (Shepherd’s Hut only)
The hot tub will be cleaned with anti-bacterial spray & scrubbed down between guests, and deep cleaned once a week using bromide tablets. Please ensure you empty the hot tub prior to your departure.
PPE – Gloves, face masks & aprons will be provided for cleaning staff. The health status of cleaning staff will be checked regularly, and anyone displaying any symptoms of Covid-19 will not be allowed to enter the property to clean for 14 days.
LAUNDRY
All bedding & laundry will be washed on a hot cycle to ensure bacteria is killed off properly. Pillows and mattresses will be sprayed with anti-bacterial spray. Clean bedding will be put on after the rest of the property has been cleaned.
On your departure, please put ALL linen, towels, tea towels, oven gloves, bath mats & cloths in a BLACK BIN LINER provided in the cupboard under your sink. Please tie this at the top and leave outside your property (or just inside if it is raining). Please DO NOT roll linen in a ball or stuff in a pillow case as the linen company are unable to shake out linen as it may transmit the virus.
Please leave windows and the front door open to air the property, unless it is raining.
KITCHEN UTENSILS
Please ensure you put all your used kitchen utensils, cookware and crockery through the dishwasher on a hot cycle if possible. If not, please use hot water and washing up liquid to wash all other items.
